In a typical day, McKinney can be found doing anything from helping people who come into the office, assisting community members over the phone, and maintaining the office for her co-workers. She plays a big role in assisting with the City Clerk’s office, public meetings, and more.

“Having the opportunity to meet members of the community and helping them is my favorite part about my job,” said McKinney.

You can always count on McKinney to help with anything you need around the office. Her favorite part about her job is constantly meeting new people and helping them in any way she can. Through her role, she has made connections with many community members who have come to the office, as well as her fellow employees.

McKinney is also a Southeast Missouri State University graduate, having earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies.

When McKinney is not at work she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She and her husband have been married for 11 years. They have a nine-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son. They love to have fun around town. Some of their favorite things to do include playing at the water park, walking through nature trails, and going to the river walk downtown.
