“Greg has one of the most difficult jobs in the City. He works long hours preparing for cases and is seldom able to take time off of work. When working with Municipal Court cases, frequently the encounters can be tense. However, Greg is adamant in standing up for what is right and in the best interest of Cape Girardeau, even in some contentious situations.”

Parks & Recreation Department
Congratulations to Parks and Recreation Department 2016 Employee of the Year, Administrative Coordinator Stacey Welter! Stacey is pictured with Parks & Recreation Department Director Julia Thompson.
Stacey climbs mountains every day and she keeps a great attitude at all times. Due to the nature of Parks and Recreation Department activities and the many facets of growth the department has experienced, she goes above and beyond on a daily basis. She plays many roles and is surrounded by many people who depend on her for quick responses. She sacrifices much of her own planned work to help others and this happens daily. She always keeps a smile on her face and this is why she is so deserving of this prestigious award!
