Mark Your Calendars for 2016 Spaghetti Day on Thursday, Nov. 10

The next Spaghetti Day will be on Thursday, Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the A. C. Brase Arena.  This is the largest and most-attended Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Foundation fundraiser of the year. It’s a fun time for family, friends, and everyone to enjoy!
Come join us for spaghetti, mostaccoli, garlic bread, salad, drinks, desserts, and entertainment! Adults (13+) are $7, children (5-12) are $5, and children under 4 are free, however donations are accepted.
If you can’t make it in on Nov. 10, you can stop by and take food to go or even have your spaghetti delivered.
The funds go to the Parks and Recreation Foundation, which was created in 1991 to help the Parks and Recreation Department with capital fundraising campaigns, projects, equipment fundraising events and various programs. City staff works directly with our Foundation Board and other volunteers on the annual Spaghetti Day event and other fundraisers throughout the year.
Examples of past projects funded in part by the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Foundation include athletic field improvements at the Shawnee Park Sports Complex, Arena Park Sports Complex and Capaha Field; golf course equipment; community center equipment including basketball goals, portable scoreboards and fitness equipment; recreation program equipment; special event equipment including a portable public address system and aquatics equipment.
