Twenty hours may seem like a long time now, but what will the first 20 hours be like after an emergency if you’re not prepared? Attending the free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training courses helps prepare you and your family should the need arise due to weather, earthquakes, or other disasters. CERT training includes the following topics:
- Disaster preparedness
- Disaster fire suppression
- Disaster medical operations
- Light search and rescue operations
- Disaster psychology and team organization
- Disaster simulation
CERT Training – First-time Completion
The next session begins on Sept. 27. Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. through Oct. 25, at the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center.
