Celebrate National Running Day 2016

The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating National Running Day 2016 with a run/walk on June 1. ParticipantsCapture will have the option to run or walk one mile, 5K, or five miles. Registration starts at 5:15 p.m. at Capaha Park Shelter 1.
The race is free, but participants are welcome to make a $12 donation to receive a national Running Day 2016 t-shirt. Jimmy John’s sandwich plates will also be available after the race for only $3. All proceeds from the t-shirts and sandwich plates will be donated to the Youth Track Club.
Various other booths and activities will be offered during the event. Missouri Running, Ran Today, My Team Triumph, Cape Girardeau Road Runners, Jimmy Johns, and Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will all be in attendance.
