Arrest Made, Shooting Incident – Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad

A warrant has been issued in connection with the fatal shooting of Andrel Dolpin, Jr. that occurred May 19. Jonas M. Phillips, a 27-year-old Charleston, Missouri resident, has been charged with the class A felony of murder in the second degree, two counts of the class B felony of assault in the first degree, and three counts of the felony of armed criminal action. A bond of $5,000,000 has been set.
Phillips was arrested on May 21 at approximately 6:30 p.m. in Mississippi County. The Sikeston Department of Public Safety and the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Cape Girardeau / Bollinger County Major Case Squad with the arrest.
