Summer Theatre & Dance Academy Classes for Children 2016

Southeast Missouri State University will host theatre and dance classes for children this summer! You can choose from “It’s a Minions-themed Tap Class,”  “Playing for Performers,” and “We’re Winging It.”
“It’s a Minions-themed Tap Class!” will have students join Fernando “Nando” Lopes, in a basic tap dance class with a fun, Minions theme (of course). Nando loves tap and after joining him for this class, you will, too. Students will need inexpensive tap shoes. As an added bonus, a special performance for family and friends will be on the final class day!

1 – 3 p.m.
Grades Kindergarten-3rd
“Playing for Performers” has students will engaging with game playing geared to performance. The class, led by Jennifer Priddy, will help students become more comfortable in theatre ensemble.
Dates include:
June 13-17

Grades Kindergarten-3rd
“We’re Winging It” will have the students join Jennifer Priddy in a theatre improvisation class. Improv will help students develop “thinking on their feet” skills in an energetic, interactive class. Special performance for family and friends will also be on the final class day for this class as well!
Dates include:
June 13-17
9 a.m. – Noon
Grades 4th-6th
Each class is $150 with light snacks provided.
