2016 Asphalt Overlay Program: Streets Receiving Asphalt Repairs in Cape Girardeau this Spring

Work previously slated to begin on the 2016 Asphalt Overlay Program in Cape Girardeau was subject to brief delays due to changes in equipment scheduling and will begin the week of May 2. The Asphalt Overlay Program includes yearly asphalt resurfacing made possible by the Transportation Trust Fund (TTF) program graciously renewed by voters last year. This program allows numerous areas of town to undergo repairs on a regular basis.
Overview of street repair programs in Cape Girardeau
No parking along the streets during the milling process, but the streets will still be drivable for local traffic. Once milling in all locations is complete, crews will return at a later date to pave with asphalt.
Streets receiving asphalt overlays are listed below.

Several portions of Cape Girardeau’s streets are undergoing asphalt milling, starting Monday, April 18. The work is part of the 2016 Asphalt Overlay Program, which includes yearly asphalt resurfacing made possible by the Transportation Trust Fund (TTF) program, graciously renewed by voters last year. This program allows numerous areas of town to undergo repairs on a regular basis.
Overview of street repair programs in Cape Girardeau
The following streets will be worked on in coming weeks:

  • Grandview Drive from Lisa Drive to Melrose Drive
  • Grandview Drive from Lisa Drive to Lexington Avenue
  • Ridgeway Drive from West Cape Rock Drive to Brookwood Drive
  • David Street from Melrose Drive to Lynnwood Drive
  • Jasmine Lane from Carolina Lane to Rampart Street
  • Lisa Drive from Carolina Lane to 2560 Lisa Drive
  • Magnolia Avenue from Grandview Drive to 2582 Magnolia Avenue
  • The driveway located at 1416 Ripley
