Neighborhood Street Repair 2016 Begins April 4 in Cape Girardeau

The Neighborhood Street Repair 2016 project kicks off on April 4 in Cape Girardeau, starting on Patriot Drive. The project is funded by the repurposed Armstrong Drive funds, as approved by voters in Transportation Trust Fund 5 last August.
During the project streets will be repaired half of the width at a time, allowing traffic to pass on the opposite side of the street. Work on one side of a street will take three to four weeks. Driveways will not be adjusted, and driveway access will be hindered in some locations during the work.
Streets to be repaired include: Northchurch Street from Magnolia Avenue to Lexington Avenue, Cannon Lane from Paul Revere Drive to Northchurch Street, Patriot Drive from Paul Revere Drive to Magnolia Avenue, 1137 Cypress Court to 3914 Valley View Lane, Eagle Ridge Drive from Cypress Court to Oak Ridge Court, Valley View Lane from Cypress Court to Kage Road, Oak Ridge Court from Hopper Road to Valley View Lane, Good Hope Street from South West End Boulevard to Hanover Street, Brentwood Drive and Rosewood Drive intersection, Dover Lane cul-de-sac, Keystone Drive from Copper Drive to 3039 Keystone Drive.
The proposed contract time is April through December 2016 (approximately 270 days), which is subject to weather and potential unforeseen delays. As always, drivers are asked to use caution in the work zones and consider alternate routes.
The project was the subject of a public meeting in March 2016.
