NBC’s TODAY is bringing back last year’s Rokerthon, where Al Roker broadcast a record-breaking 34 straight hours of weather coverage. This year, Roker attempts a Guinness World Record for the Fastest Time to Report a Weather Forecast from All 50 States and the District of Columbia. Cape Girardeau serves as Missouri’s broadcast location.
Rokerthon 2 kicks off in Hawaii Friday, Nov. 6, and wraps up on Rockefeller Plaza on Friday, Nov. 13. The live broadcast from Cape Girardeau on Tuesday, Nov. 10 kicks off that days’ weather reporting extravaganza, taking Roker and friends to Fort Defiance, Ill; Wickliffe, Ky.; Union City, Tenn.; Blytheville, Ark.; Goshen, Ind.; Coldwater, Mich.; and Montpelier, Ohio.

Roker’s live weather broadcast from Cape Girardeau’s Riverfront Park is from 6-6:10 a.m. that day – blink and you’ll miss it! The public is invited to Riverfront Park that morning and should be in place no later than 5:30 a.m.
