Fulton Named Vice Chairman of Missouri Water & Wastewater Conference

Todd Fulton 002Todd Fulton, of the City of Cape Girardeau’s Public Works Department, was named the 2015 – 2016 Vice Chairman of the Missouri Water and Wastewater Conference (MWWC) at the organization’s 90th annual meeting, in Jefferson City on Aug. 18-19.
Fulton is also the secretary treasurer for MWWC’s Southeast Section. The Southeast Section’s annual spring conference will be held at the Osage Center, in Cape, on April 20, 2016.
The MWWC, both through the Jefferson City central office and six regional sections strategically placed throughout the state, sponsors training events throughout the year. All of MWWC’s training is designed to meet the requirements of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for renewal credit hours for certified operators.
The organization began, in 1925, as the Missouri Conference on Water Purification. In 1928, after becoming affiliated with the Federation of Sewage Works Associations, the name of the organization was changed to the Missouri Water and Sewerage Conference. Finally, in 1991, the organization was reincorporated and the name changed to the Missouri Water and Wastewater Conference. In the beginning, the organization was closely associated with, held joint meetings with, and shared publications with Missouri’s State Board of Health.
