Study Session Notes
Court Location Proposals and Upcoming Public Meeting
A brief presentation from County citizen committee representative Dwain Hahs about a proposal to build a new courthouse in Jackson sparked a series of questions from some City Council members. The public is invited to the Osage Centre in Cape Girardeau, Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m., for the County’s open house on this topic. Read more from the County’s newsletter, or direct questions to the Cape Girardeau County Commission.
Repair for “Private” Sewers
Residents from Marie Street petitioned the City Council to help 10-12 homeowners pay to repair or replace their private sewer system that connects to the City’s system. Officials remarked that few, if any, of these types of systems and circumstances exist in Cape Girardeau. City staff will continue to review the situation and possible solutions.
Other Issues?
