Shooting – Morgan Oak & Sprigg

On Saturday, Oct. 4 around 12:19 a.m.  Cape Girardeau Police Officers responded to the intersection of Morgan Oak and South Sprigg Street for a report of a subject who had been shot.  Upon arrival officers were advised that a male subject had been shot and was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital.  At the time of this release the victim remains in the hospital in stable condition from multiple gunshot wounds.  This is the second shooting in three days.  The investigation into both of these shootings is underway and any relation between the two will be looked into.  At this time no one is in custody.  We will release further information as it becomes available.
