Oct. 2014: Voter Information Month on Public Access TV CG993

As everyone gears up for the Nov. 4, 2014 general election, voters have plenty of topics and candidates to research before heading to the polls. Cape Girardeau voters will be deciding whether or not to extend the 1/8 of 1% portion of the Fire Tax. Other local, state and federal offices are up for election, among other ballot issues.

We will be airing beneficial voter information programming throughout the month of October on public access channel CG993. Videos include Cape Chronicle, with an excerpt about the Fire Tax; the League of Women Voters Candidate Forum (rebroadcast, courtesy of the Southeast Missourian); Cape Girardeau City Council meetings (both live and rebroadcast); and Missouri Viewpoints, a state public affairs program that discusses the state legislature’s recent veto session and what’s ahead for 2015.
