New DWI Bus to Assist Cape Girardeau Police Department, Area Task Force

The Cape Girardeau Police Department recently added a new fleet member – a DWI Bus. The DWI Bus will be used for checkpoints with the Southeast Missouri DWI Task Force, and it can double as a mobile command center for events and disaster operations.

A $50,000 grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) paid for the bus and its current equipment.

Since the purchase, the DWI Bus has been used several times by the Cape Girardeau Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol.
