Free Fun for All at the 2014 Parks and Rec Day on July 11

On Friday, July 11, the City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual, free Parks and Rec Day at the Osage Centre.

This day of fun starts at 11 a.m. and lasts unDSC_0088til 3 p.m. At this event, there will be a number of activities from games and crafts, to ice cream and water activities.

“Everyone should come and be part of this event, because not only is it completely free for everyone, but it will be a fun day to spend with the Parks and Recreation Department and also the community,” said Cassie Essner, Recreation Coordinator.

Because July is National Parks and Recreation Month, it is the perfect time to hold Parks and Rec Day. This is a great opportunity to get kids active and excited to join activities that the Parks and Recreation Department have to offer.

We’ll also be celebrating Playmo’s first birthday!

Don’t forget to visit the Parks and Recreation booth and fill out a form to receive one free kids admission ticket with one adult purchase to Cape Splash.
