Theatre Class PerformanceActing Up (Children’s Theatre) – Ages 5-7

Here is your chance to let your child, ages 5-7, “act up” and be praised for it. The “Acting Up” Children’s Theatre class, hosted by the City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department, takes place on Fridays from 11 a.m.-noon, from June 6-27 at the 4-H Exhibit Hall. Instructors will read a familiar story to the class, and then help the children create some simple masks and accessories, put on some costumes and have a performance. Class fees are $15 for Cape Girardeau residents and $20 for non-residents. Register by June 2.

Children’s Theatre Workshop – Ages 8-15

Give your little star, age 8-15, summer days filled with quality dance, vocal and acting instruction in the Children’s Theatre Workshop class hosted by the City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department. The workshop is designed for children with all levels of theater experience and will culminate with a performance by the actors. The workshop runs from June 2-27. Sessions meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-3 p.m. at the A.C. Brase Arena. Fees are $30 for residents and $35 for non-residents. Register by May 29
