Ages 7-9 are invited to attend the entry-level Tae Kwon Do class this summer in Cape Girardeau, beginning on May 26, hosted by City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation and Lee H. Park Martial Arts. Basic kicking and punching techniques will be taught. The Tae Kwon Do class will meet on Monday evenings from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Pre-Hapkido classes for ages 4-9 will meet on Tuesday evenings beginning on May 27. These skills classes will include a basic introduction to martial arts and work on improving balance, mobility and respect. Other key areas include kicking, punching and bully-proofing your child. Ages 4-6 will meet from 5:15-6 p.m., and ages 7-9 meet from 6-6:45 p.m.
The registration deadline for both classes is May 23. Enrollment fees are $21 for Cape Girardeau residents and $26 for non-residents. Classes will be held at 623 S. Silver Springs Rd.
