A two-session training seminar is available at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, beginning in April, for existing Minority and Women Owned Businesses (M/WBEs) and those minorities and women interested in starting their own businesses.
Session one on April 30 introduces the M/WBE Life Cycle Continuum and identifies common growth challenges and opportunities for businesses. Business owners will assess their current and desired position on the Life Cycle. Session two on July 31 provides tools that help business owners chart a course for disciplined growth.
The course will be co-hosted by the Institute for Regional Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Southeast Missouri State University and The Mid-South Minority Business Council (MMBC) Continuum in Memphis, Tenn. Through a strategic investment from the Delta Regional Authority, the MMBC Continuum is partnering with the Institute to grow minority and women-owned businesses in the southeast Missouri region.
