The City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department is hosting tons of Easter and spring fun for children. Here’s a round-up of upcoming programs:
Join us on April 8 for Bunny Baking and learn how to bake in preparation for Easter! We will begin the baking at 5:30 p.m. and conclude at 7 p.m. at the A.C. Brase Arena. Kids ages 6-12 will learn how to bake cakes and cookies then use their own creativity to decorate them for Easter! Registration fees are $12 for residents and $15 for non-residents. You must register before participating in the event. The registration deadline is April 2.
Create an Easter Tote Bag
Ages 5-10 are invited to join us at the Osage Centre on April 9 at 5:30 p.m. to decorate a festive tote for Easter egg hunting. All necessary materials will be provided. The course fees are $13 for Cape Girardeau residents and $16 for non-residents. The registration deadline is April 2.
Colorful Egg Day
This program, for ages 6-12, offers the chance to dye hard-boiled eggs and decorate them with stickers and other supplies. Children are asked to wear old clothes and to bring a container to tote your eggs back home at the end of the evening. Fees are $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents.
