First Friday This Friday, Arts Council November Events

First Friday Events

The Balderbach Art Plaza will be displaying the art of sculptor Tom Allen and illustrator Dawn Sperry Allen.  Their sculpted woodworks allow nature to be expressive and the primary focus of the piece.  Tom makes natural, creative sculptures work.

Dawn is the creator of Eclipse Cartoon Tabloid, featuring the “Real Fake News” with a fictitious staff of multicultural correspondents, including real and mythological critters.  These characters work together to create a humorous diversion with columnists, commentators, advertisers and cartoons.

For more information on Tom Allen and Dawn Sperry Allen, go to www.horseofwood.com and www.savetheunicorn.com.  Refreshments and live music will be in the “Landing.”  Shadd Shubert will be the musical guest.

Dawn Quinn, designer and creator of unique and one-of-a-kind Christmas stockings has a display in the Gallery of Inspiration this Friday.
