Alyssa Lage brings a great combination of sales experience, love of our community’s history and heritage and excellent communication skills to her new position. For the past four years, she supported and marketed online and print advertising for the Southeast Missourian to area businesses and non-profit organizations. Through a customer-focused approach, she used her experience and skills in marketing and education to help her clients develop custom-designed messages to better reach their target markets. Always seeking to find new and creative ways to help her clients succeed, her focus is always on relationships and meeting the needs of those that she works with.
Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University and a Master of Arts degree from Savannah College of Art and Design in Historic Preservation. She currently serves on several community boards and committees supporting and promoting local preservation efforts and economic development. She serves as Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Cape Girardeau Historic Preservation Commission as well as a member of the Board of Directors for the historic Glenn House. She also serves on the Design Committee of Old Town Cape. Alyssa has a real passion for the promotion of area history, attractions and traditions.
Her first few weeks have been filled with researching, event planning, training and looking to the future. She already has several special projects planned for the upcoming year that will benefit both the CVB and the community.
Alyssa has lived, worked, and volunteered in Cape Girardeau since 2004. She resides in Cape Girardeau with her husband Jeffrey and son Kaden. Please welcome Alyssa Lage aboard as the new Director of Sales for the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau.
