Ribbon Cutting for New Disc Golf Course at Cape County Park North

A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the start of phase one of the Cape Girardeau County Parks Disc Golf Course will be at 3:30 p.m. on June 1 at the Cycle Werx tee box, located across from the North County Park office.

The Cape Girardeau County Parks Disc Golf Course will be an 18-hole course that will give citizens another reason to enjoy Cape County Park North.

The disc golf course was made possible by the efforts of Cape Girardeau County Parks and Recreation staff and the necessary funding to build the course, raised through sponsorships.

The following individuals and organizations paid a one-time fee of $1,000 to sponsor a tee box and hole on the course: Cycle Werx, Bryan Greaser, Velosity Electronics, BurritoVille, Plaza Tire, and Danny and Desma Reno. All 18 holes on the golf course will be sponsored.
