Mo. Leaps to 6th Place in Entrepreneurial Activity

The Kauffman Foundation’s annual "Index of Entrepreneurial Activity” ranks Missouri sixth among the 50 states, up from 35th place last year and a next-to-last place showing in 2009. The foundation says that four of every 1,000 Missourians launched a business last year, trailing Arizona, Texas, California, Colorado and Alaska in the rate of startup activity.   1. This information is so neat to have. I had no idea these numbers were tracked. I wonder how many of these businesses will create jobs and if we can take 1st next year. Go Missouri!
