Old Town Cape’s Annual Dinner, sponsored by Red Letter Communications, is set for Thursday, Feb. 23 at Dockside The Upper Deck, 4 N. Spanish. The organization will celebrate downtown accomplishments made in 2011 while honoring special projects and individuals.
The evening will begin showcasing the arts at 6 p.m. with social hour in the adjacent Bilderbach Arts Plaza. Attendees will mingle among art in Westray Studio, Mozaic, The Painted Wren, Gallery of Inspiration and Goddard Photography. Dan Cotner will entertain with light music, and a cash bar will be available.
Dinner, catered by Bella Italia, will be served at 7 p.m., followed by a short program highlighting 2011 accomplishments. Awards to be given include an Excellence in Preservation, Volunteer of the Year , Business Excellence and the Charles L. Hutson Visionary Award.
As part of an ongoing process to brand both downtown and the organization, Old Town Cape will introduce its new tagline – Old Town is Your Town. Marla Mills, Executive Director of Old Town Cape, notes “we truly believe that the downtown is everybody’s neighborhood. This tagline not only reflects this belief but the idea that we want the whole community to be engaged in the work, vision and mission of the organization.”
