Cost-saving tips for cutting energy bills – interactive display
Wednesday October 19 at Lowes
Thursday October 20 at the CapeFarmers Market from 3 PM to 7 PM.
An energy auditor will give energy-efficiency demonstrations to provide specific tips for cutting energy costs and answer consumer questions about how to make their homes more energy efficient. The auditor’s tools for teaching visitors is an acrylic model house called the House of Pressure and a tour vehicle that allows visitors to walk around and see what happens with energy loss inside the home and behind the walls. This traveling exhibit is designed to engage, educate and empower consumers to address issues within their homes that affect health, safety, comfort, durability and energy efficiency.
Adults and their children are encouraged to visit the exhibit to view a custom-designed vehicle which holds an array of exhibits about energy efficiency. Consumers have the opportunity to participate in interactive exhibits that will provide information on how to save energy and money. A licensed Energy Auditor will be available to give demonstrations, answer questions and offer cost-saving tips for cutting energy bills. There will also be giveaways and coupons available for items that make homes more energy efficient, as well as games and activities for children.
