The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department along with Mobil, Pioneer Market & Pick ‘Ur Own, and Southeast Missouri Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition are proud to offer the inaugural Halloween Hoopla at the Shawnee Park Center. This fun-filled event will take place on Friday, October 28th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. All kids ages 12 & under are invited. “The Halloween Hoopla offers a variety of enjoyable Halloween activities, including a costume contest, at a very reasonable cost,” says Shawnee Park Center Manager, Heather Davis. “As a bonus, the first 30 kids to purchase tickets at the Halloween Hoopla will receive a free admission to Light Fright Night at the Haunted Hall of Horror on Sunday, October 30th.”
The costume contest will start at 7:30 p.m. Entry into the costume contest is only $1.00 and prizes will be awarded. All other activities including pumpkin bowling, pumpkin decorating, cookie decorating, and trick-or-treat bag decorating will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tickets for these activities will be fifty cents each. All Halloween Hoopla activity tickets will be purchased at the door on October 28th. There will be plenty of candy and other goodies for everyone.
