Please note: public parking will NOT be available at the airport’s main terminal unless you’ve purchased VIP tickets or need accessible parking for disabled persons with a placard. FREE public parking is available near the airport at Rhodes Truck Stop, Lawless Harley Davidson, (former) Do It Best, Agri-Trans, and Genesis Trucking. Complementary shuttle buses will transport you from the parking areas right up to the air festival grounds. 

Parking for the 2014 Cape Girardeau Air Festival on May 17-18 will be different from last year’s set up. Public parking is available for festival attendees at the following locations near the airport:

FREE Parking for disabled persons with a placard and groups or individuals who have purchased VIP tickets will be at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.

Coolers of any kind are not permitted to be brought into the festival. Guests may bring blankets, lawn chairs and strollers for seating.

Tickets are available for purchase online and at Rhodes 101 stores around the region.

Gates open at 10 a.m. on both May 17 and 18, with opening ceremonies slated to begin at 1:30 p.m. daily during the festival. Performers include the Canadian Forces Snowbirds Demonstration Team (video), Aerostars Acrobatic Team (video), U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team (video), Susan Dacy and “Big Red” (video), Matt Younkin’s Beech 18 Aerobatics (video), Paul Stender and the Jet School Bus (video), and Friends of Jenny. Additionally, several historic warbirds will be on display, and kids can enjoy a special play area that includes inflatable bounce houses and more.
